The town multimedia area offers you :
- CDRoms to use here or to borrow
- Office softwares
- An Internet Access (for the Adult area)
- To consult your e-mails
- A choice of thematic websites (« sitothèque »)
- To consult reference books here
- A specific space to work
- Books and magazines on computers
- Educational games
Conditions :
The access to the mutimedia area is free. You will need a parental authorization for minors (children under 18 years old) and children under the age of 8 years old must be here with an adult. To use the computers or to borrow books, you must enrol in the library (« médiathèque) first. The « médiathèque » card will give you access to the library and the mutimedia area.
In order to have the best possible experience in the multimedia area, you must respect the following rules :
- Book a one-hour slot (on the site or by phone) to access the computers
- Respect the given length for your consultation. However, if few people are present, you may be able to stay longer.
- Warn the employees one day before the given booked day if you cannot come. If you are more than 10 minutes late, your computer will be given to someone else.
- Pay the current printing price (printer and copy machine)
- Do not disturb the other users
- Switch off your mobile phones
- Respect the equipment
- Do not modify the setting of the computers at your disposal (do not install program, change the Internet settings, etc …)
- Report every malfunction/incident that you have noticed at the beginning or during your computer use
- Do not consult other documents (CDRoms, softwares) that the ones provided by the médiathèque.
- Do not download anything.
- Do not use the computers to transfer money (buying, bank operations …)
- Do not go on chat websites or newsgroups
- Do not consult websites in contradiction with public institutions missions and/or against French laws :
¤ Websites with violence, pornography, against human dignity, sites encouraging illegal uses or advocating discrimination
¤ Websites encouraging people not to respect intellectual and artistic property (reproduction, representation, broadcasting a work against copyrights), allowing you couterfeited or copied versions of business softwares.
- In accordance with the antiterrorist law of January, 23th 2006, librarians will record the user's identities as well as the day and the hours of their connexions to the free access computers.
¤ For every computer, the browsing data will be kept for a year.
We reserve the right to keep an eye on the consulted websites and to stop the websites ' consultation if they do not respect these rules.
